Reannon's House of Cards

17 March 1975
The most important things are the hardest things to say, because words diminish them. Words shrink things that seemed limitless when they were in your head to no more than living size when they're brought out. And you may make revelations that cost you dearly, only to have people look at you in a funny way, not understanding what you've said at all, or why you thought it was so important that you nearly cried while you were telling it.

That's the worst, I think. When the secret stays locked within, not for want of a teller, but for want of an understanding ear.

- Stephen King, "The Body"

I'm an author.
I'm a mother.
I'm a reporter.
I'm an American.
I'm a woman.
I'm an Episcopalian.
These things are in no particular order.

All about me:

My official web site.

The YahooGroup, which has all the announcements and details on the upcoming books, public appearances, etc.

Scarlet Letters from the Literary Underworld, my public writing blog, which is syndicated on LJ at lit_underworld.

• I'm on Facebook and Twitter.

CultureGeek, the pop culture review blog/column I actually get paid to write. It is syndicated on LJ at culture_geek. I am absolutely interested in your small-press book/indie comic/litmag. Email me at edonald@bnd.com and we'll talk.

• Every summer I run julnawrimo, which also has a Facebook page. and a Twitter.

• I'm captain of a Relay for Life team, raising money all year for the American Cancer Society. Donate here!

MySpace, though I rarely go there because I hate it.

The Nocturnal Urges site, if you're curious about the vampire series.

Oh yeah, wanna buy a book? Visit my web store, The Literary Underworld. We carry my books and those of my fellow authors, direct from their personal stash so you are helping to support the authors directly. My stuff is also available on Amazon and wherever fine books are sold. If you have a hard time locating my work, email us at booksales@elizabethdonald.com and we'll help you out.

And that's enough about me.
